After learning about relational aesthetics and the attention economy, we created “The Orange Experiment”. The students painted large sheets of orange paper which we then hid under in different configurations and locations around Ålesund. In doing so, we made a series of nomadic, temporary sculptural interventions that demanded the public’s attention and momentarily altered the usual social and urban frameworks.
